What is your Idea of Fun?
Did you ever wonder why cruising was so popular? If you haven’t cruised before you probably don’t realise just how many fun things there are to do on a cruise ship!
The beauty of the cruise ship holiday is that you can do as much or as little as you like.
And when we say as much as you like, there really is something going on at every hour of every day if you wish to participate!
Cruising can satisfy almost every type of person and every type of holiday personality. If you love cooking and want to check out all the cooking demonstrations while your partner kicks back in a bar, or takes a dancing lesson you can! One day you may want to do no more than lie by a pool with a book, the next you may fill every hour with a new activity.
The Cruise World is Your Oyster!
What Fun Things Can We do on our Cruise?
Here is a list – it is not exhaustive as all cruise lines have different activities and they will change from cruise to cruise too. This list is designed to give you an idea of the plethora of options you have while cruising.
There are activities planned every day on board, whether it is a Sea-Day or a Port-Day. You will find that there are less day-time activities on a Port-Day as most people will be off the ship exploring Port, but if you do want to stay on board you will still have things to do.
Many of the fun things to do on a cruise are FREE (or included in your cruise fare). However, for some activities there will be a nominal charge if you want to participate. The extra charges are always well advertised so you know what you are getting into. Any charges will be added to your on-board account via your Cruise Card.

How Do I find out about What is Happening on my Cruise?
Every evening you will find a copy of your Ships Daily Program delivered to your state-room.
They all have fun names to match the fun things for you to do on your cruise:
Princess Patter, RCI Cruise Compass, Carnival Fun-Times and P&O Good-Times.
Sit down before bed and check out the list of things to do the next day. Arm yourself with a high-lighter to mark the events you are interested in.
Or if you prefer a more tech-savvy approach, you can get the same information from your Ship-App and save the activities you are interested in to your favourites, so you don’t miss a thing!
Tired yet? What fun things do you think you would like to do on your Cruise?
Don’t forget you also have the option of one of our favourite activities:
Laying on a sun lounger at the stern of the ship watching the wake with an icy cold cocktail in hand!
